Four-Week Certificate Program in International Medical English
Designed for nurses, naturopaths, chiropractors, medical doctors, dentists, osteopaths, pharmacists, kinesiologists, etc.

Niagara English Language Academy has developed this certificate program to assist medical students to develop listening, speaking, reading, writing, and pronunciation skills in English. Students will have the opportunity to learn specialized vocabulary and expressions while increasing fluency and confidence in using English in professional settings. At NELA, we know there is more to being a medical practitioner than clinical expertise. With the aforementioned in mind, communication skills are the main focus of the International Medical English course of study with strong emphasis placed on language for medical purposes.

Duration: July 8-August 2, 2019 (4 weeks/28 days/120 hours of instruction)

Class Size: 25 participants per class

Location: In the heart of Niagara Falls, Canada

Curriculum: Communication studies/English for specific purposes with a focus on English for medical professionals

Class Hours: 6 hours per day/30 hours per week

Instruction: By English language specialists and medical professionals

Certificate: Participatory Certificate in English for Medical Professionals – 120 Hours English Training

Refund Policies:

  • You will receive a full refund if program is cancelled by NELA
  • Requests for refunds must be received in writing (letter, fax, e-mail)
  • Requests must be received 30 days before program begins
  • A non-refundable $300 CDN administration fee will apply
  • There are no refunds after the refund deadline (30 days prior to program start date)
