IELTS Training
IELTS, the International English Language Testing System, is designed to assess the language ability of candidates who need to study or work where English is used as the language of communication.

General Band 5.0: Focus is placed on upgrading skills to achieve a general band 6.5-7.5 score.

Academic Band 5.5: Focus is placed on upgrading skills to achieve a general band 7.0-8.0 score.

TOEFL Training
TOEFL is an exam required by most US and Canadian university to prove proficiency(especially international students coming from countries where English is not native language) in English. It measures your listening, reading, speaking and writing skills to perform academic tasks in English.

Score 60+: Focus is placed on upgrading skills to achieve a score of 94-114.

English for Specific Purposes (ESP)
Individuals applying to ESP programs must show proof of English language proficiency: a) TOEFL iBT: 60; b) MeLAB: 68; c) IELTS General: 6.0; d) IELTS Academic: 5.5; e) PTE: 55; or f) CAEL: 50.

Post-Secondary Academic Success Prep (PASP)

PASP is a 30-hour 10-week program that prepares students to navigate the challenges encountered during the first year of post-secondary studies. Focus will be placed on improving overall communication skills while providing confidence-building activities in an academic and professional setting.

The is intended for domestic and international students who have completed secondary studies and who wish to attend college or university in North America.

Domestic Students
Individuals interested in applying to the Post-Secondary Academic Success Preparatory program must have completed Grade 10 with a minimum overall average of 70% with no less than 65% in English (Grade 10). Proof of secondary school registration must be provided.

International Students
Individuals interested in applying to the Post-Secondary Academic Success Preparatory program must:
a) be 18 years of age at time of attendance; AND
b) have matriculated from an accredited secondary school by time of registration; AND
c) have successfully completed Level 3/Intermediate (CEFR A2) or equivalent at an intensive English language program.

AND: must provide evidence of minimum proficiency in English according to ONE the following: a) TOEFL iBT: 50; b) MeLAB: 62; c) IELTS Academic: 5.0; e) PTE: 50; f) CAEL: 40; or g) an overall grade of 70% with no single skill score lower than a 65%.

Pre-school, Elementary, and Secondary Language to Literacy
Overarching programs include English literacy development and central auditory processing. Students interested in participating in the Language to Literacy program will be taught reading, spelling, phonological awareness, print/cursive writing as well as speech, presentation, and essay content/structure writing.
Corporate & Professional English

Focus is placed on developing an individual’s communication confidence. The goal is to instill a positive state of mind to develop the self-assurance needed to communicate appropriately and effectively with others. Such self-assurance stems from feelings of an overall well-being and belief in one’s own abilities.
