English for Specific Purposes

The ESP program is designed to prepare students for study in a particular discipline or subject area where English is used as the language of communication. This program is especially beneficial to students interested in obtaining college diplomas, undergraduate and graduate degrees in business and professional fields in North America. Courses are skills-based and provide carefully graded practice and progressions in the key academic skills that all students need, such as listening to lectures and speaking in seminars. It also equips students with the specialist language they need to participate successfully within academic faculties. Entrance score: minimum band 6.0 (no sections below 5.5) or equivalent. 90 hours of intense academic and professional in-class training is supported by carefully chosen cultural immersion activities to enhance the education experience.
